Is There Life after Death?
Muslims believe that this life is a transitory stage, a preparation for the eternal life in the Hereafter. Life on this earth is not the ultimate goal.
Death is not the end but a mere change of worlds, a stepping stone to the Hereafter; eternal bliss in heaven or torment in hell.
Allah will resurrect all on the Day of Judgement and mankind will be held accountable for their actions in accordance to them being honoured with
intellect and free will. Mankind has been given the choice to follow divine guidance and reap its everlasting rewards in this life and the Hereafter.
A belief in life after death in Islam is a pillar of faith.
“Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.” (Qur’an 3: 185)
